Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated that while presenting the educational project "Kyiv a Capital of Ukrainian Museums" and CD "Kobzar" in different districts of Kyiv, he had met the educationalists who drew attention to the arrears in wages. Thus, in several districts of Kyiv, the teachers failed to receive a full amount of wages for May and June. Moreover, payment of vacation bonuses and increments established by Tymoshenko´s Government is also problematic.
Mykola Tomenko admitted that high appreciation of Leonid Chernovetskyi as a ‘kind and credulous´ person is understandable, however, the constitutional obligations imposed on the municipal authorities shall be implemented, the wages to the teachers being paid on time.
Mykola Tomenko informed about his intention to make a public address to the newly-appointed leaders of Kyiv authorities with a request to settle the situation, effecting the delayed payments.
